Much like its sister gun the Kentucky Rifle, the Kentucky Long Rifle has played an important part in shaping American history.
These rifles used a special technique called rifling. Rifling was simply a term when referring to a gun that featured inner spirals in the barrel. The spirals acted as a tool to help the ball rotate after it was fired. The rotation of the ball was said to increase the accuracy of the shot.
This replica of the Kentucky Long Rifle is an exact look alike to the original.
Carefully crafted, even the most knowledgeable gunsmith might have a hard time differentiating between the two.
This piece measures 59 inches and weighs a mere 5 pounds.
