The 1861 Navy revolver produced in cream and ornate engraving was presented to General Custer during the Civil War, as was a common custom of the time. The wolf's head design was created by L.D. Nimshke and has been reproduced in exact detail on this high-quality replica. The original copy of this weapon came into circulation after Custer?s widow sold some of his gun collection for much-needed cash. Eventually, the original landed in a museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Collector's Classic Framed Set includes the replica revolver in two-tone metal and cream finishes mounted on a high-quality velveteen-finish backing with a simple, elegant name plate within an attractive black and walnut frame.
This replica firearm is NON-FIRING and cannot be made to fire real ammunition. You must 18 years of age or older to purchase.
