Medieval Iron Bar Shackles

In order to maintain a sense of security and order while transporting slaves, a way to restrain these often angry and rebellious individuals was needed, therefore the iron bar shackle was invented.

This crude yet effective restraint would add a classic touch to a historical item collection. This piece is formed from 12 inches of blackened iron. The shackles measure 2.75 x 2.25 inches. A lock securely keeps the wrists in place.
