Nicknamed the “Satan Sword” due to the frightening face mounted above the rain guard of this sword, the Claw Fantasy Sword features a ball pommel held in a ring of up-ward facing claws. The bulged grip is ridged for superior handling above the quillian that echoes the claw feature from which the sword draws its proper name. This sword features an extended rain guard that runs down onto the long ricasso above a spear-form double-edged blade with a deep blood groove, or ricasso.
This is a relatively long sword at 44½” in overall length with a stainless steel blade and an antique silver appearance. A gilt-enhanced display plaque is included.
