The halberd is a weapon thats name derived from the combination of the german word “halm” or staff, and “barte”, or axe. The combination of the two led to the creation of a sinister looking weapon that required two hands to operate. Halberds are still used in certain ceremonies of the Vatican to this day.
This halberd would make a great addition to medieval collections. The wooden handle mates up with a metal pointed tip, that is partnered with a savage looking blade. This halberd is 75 inches long and weighs 4.5 pounds.
