Hugues de Payens was a French knight from the Champagne region and was the co-founder and first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Doing the bidding of Pope Urban II, he organized the original nine monk-knights to defend pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land.

This beautiful Medieval sword, representative of Hugues' blade, measures 44" overall and has a silver finish; the blade measures 30". A fleur de lis is embossed on the handguard. The scabbard is available with a white or black simulated leather with red leather wrapping (choose option below).
