This sword is named after the feared 8th Century Viking raider, Godfred. Built around an exquisitely patterned folded steel blade, this sword replicates the pre-9th century originals. The grip of this viking sword is made of interwoven leather with a Damascus guard and pommel at each end. Matching the grip, the leather-covered wooden scabbard has bronze detailing and belt hooks. The blade is superbly balanced due to the deeply fullered distal tapered profile. The Godfred is a real tribute to the Norse blacksmiths of old.
Please note - Blade color is generally lighter than the color depicted in the prototype image.
Blade length is 28 3/4"; handle is 5 3/4". Overall length is 34 3/4". The sword's weight is 2lb 7oz.
