Designed in memory of the June 17, 1775 battle when William Prescott commanded 1500 Colonials in a hard fought defeat, the Bunker Hill Sword has a 24" carbon steel blade fitted with a brass handguard and pommel. The leather scabbard that accompanies this sword is adorned with brass fittings. The overall length of this sword is 30". While the Colonials lost the battle, it did prove to all sides that the Colonial's rag-tag formations were capable of standing their ground against the British. Oddly enough, the Bunker Hill battle actually took place on the next hill over, Breed's Hill...perhaps the "fog of war"?
